Barcelona terminates cooperation with Umtiti

Barcelona has terminated cooperation with Samuel Umtiti.

The news was made official by the official website of the club from Catalonia.

Umtiti was a Barcelona player for six years, while last season the central defender was loaned to the Lecce team in Serie A.

The 29-year-old played 25 games for the Italian club, while he was the starter in 24 of them.

Umtiti had a contract with the Barcelona team until 2026.

But on Friday, the “Blaugrana” club announced that it has terminated his contract.

Umtiti has played 133 games for Barca, scoring two goals and one assist.

He also made his career at Lyon.
