Arteta is interested in the Bundesliga star, starts talks with his representatives

Arsenal are considering a move for right-back Benjamin Henrichs.

According to “Kicker”, the defender of Leipzig is seen as a possible alternative of the London club, if they fail in the eventual attempts to convince Joao Cancelo.

Talks between Arsenal and Henrichs’ representatives are said to have already taken place.

Coach Mikel Arteta is believed to be a strong admirer of the 26-year-old, who has a contract with Leipzig until the summer of 2025.

The coach of Leipzig, Marco Rose, considers the German representative to be an important asset in his team and hopes to keep him in the team.

Following the departures of Dominik Szoboszlait and Christopher Nkunku, the German club are said to be planning to stop Henrichs from leaving.

Another star, Josko Guardiol, who is reported to be close to transferring to Manchester City, is expected to leave Leipzig.
